Wonderful place for hiking. Perfect for kids too. If you do the loop on the Adobe trail you will be half in shade, which we loved. Once you arrive at the Adobe's there's you'll find a few nice spots to have packed lunch. They have picnic tables and Porta potties.

Love this hiking trail it's my go to for a quick hike. Update: Used to be my favorite local hike, a perfect, easy escape. Unfortunately, the experience has changed. The volunteer presence in the parking lot, with their mandatory, repetitive lectures, has become a significant deterrent. Even familiar hikers are subjected to an aggressive, controlling approach, regardless of prior knowledge of the trails. While the park's beauty remains, the joy of a spontaneous hike has been lost.

Definitely a nice hike. About a mile out and back. Very quiet. Filled with the sound of various bird songs. Heat is a problem for me but hiked on an 80+ degrees day with such a nice cool breeze. There is shade here...bring your pooch...
