My children, who are now adults, went through the Yamaha piano program. They learned the basics but never really mastered playing the piano or reading music. Both gave up on the piano and chose different instruments. Now I have the pleasure of taking my granddaughter to Children's Music Academy. She is very close to completing her master's class after 3 years. Not only has she mastered playing advanced piano music pieces and reading music, she has also been introduced to other instruments. Children's Music Academy also encourages their students to write their own piano pieces and play them for their classmates. This program has given my granddaughter the gift of music and confidence in her own music abilities.
