The University of California Botanical Garden is a 34-acre oasis in the heart of Berkeley’s urban landscape, and features one of the world’s most diverse plant collections. This unique living museum is filled with more than 10,000 kinds of plants, including many rare and endangered species. As the third-largest botanical garden in the United States in numbers of species, this world-renowned plant collection provides a vital resource—not only for international researchers, UC Berkeley faculty, students and staff, but for visitors from around the world who seek solace, inspiration, and connection with nature.
Everything was lovely and beautiful. The garden has 9 different areas, each categorized by continent or region: Southern Africa, Deserts of the Americas, Asia, Australasia, Mediterranean, South America, Mexico/Central America, Eastern North America, and California.
We spent two hours exploring the garden, but we didn't have to see Mexico/Central America and California sections.
The collection was really diverse. I remembered taking a plant science course at UCD, and many of the materials and pictures we used were from UC Botanical Garden. For me, it's like I finally get to see these plants in person. Highly recommended for plant lovers!

This terraced garden features 1,500 rose bushes across multiple levels, with a redwood pergola, with repurposed wood, running along the top, providing shaded seating with views of the vibrant blooms.
Love this place it’s absolutely gorgeous to take picture for special occasion or to go and watch the sunset. Lived locally for years and holds a special and peaceful place in my heart.

Founded in 1968, Berkeley Rep is a professional resident theatre company. The season consists of seven productions of classic, contemporary and new plays.
Super nice theatre, good seats are ironically left and right of stage although not really any bad seats. Really enjoyed production, sound and show, Mother of Exiles. Great all around experience here. Would definitely come again.
