You wouldn't think that a zoo in a town like Fresno would be anything great, but this zoo absolutely beautiful and has so much variety. It's very woodsy and park-like. Whenever I have visitors, this zoo is one place I am proud to take them to. I highly recommend.

I had such a great time visiting the Forestiere Underground Gardens. The only tricky part was finding the entrance because of some construction, but parking was super easy — free street parking right out front. We bought our tickets when we arrived, and they do offer a military discount, which was nice. The tour itself was about 45 minutes to an hour. It’s a small group tour; for us, it was just my friend, myself, and one other person, which made it feel more personal and easier to enjoy. Since it is an underground garden, some of the spaces are a bit smaller, so the small group size definitely helps. There are bathrooms available, and it was a little chilly underground, so I’d recommend bringing something cozy to stay warm. Overall, it was a beautiful and really unique experience. I definitely recommend going — and I’ll be going back again!

Museum with art in diverse media, in June 2025, they have the Kelley collection of African American art on paper, a replica of the Cacaxtla battle mural, art from meso America, illustrations by Grace Lin, among others. Museum staff is very friendly and helpful. Good gift shop. Very quiet on a Saturday morning.
