Part of Rancho Los Alamitos, John W. Bixby and the original park superintendent, Mr. Nessick planted trees on the site between 1886 and 1903. The original portion of the park was donated in 1903, by the Alamitos Land Company, as part of the subdivision of the Alamitos Beach Town site. It was known as Alamitos Park. This park is amazing. It’s all cute cuz it’s by the beach. There’s a farmers market here sometimes. Depends what day it is, so either Tuesday or Saturday. I think. I am not sure, you can use your google app to figure that out. Just know that it’s cute. Okay. Enjoy.

About Business
This park is located between Long Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, north of 46th Street. Developer Lloyd Whaley and the Home Investment Company, which built and sold more than 11,000 new homes in Long Beach during the 1940s and 50s, dedicated the original 11.14 acres section of the park in 1944.
Gorgeous landscaping, with grass rolling down to a stream and waterfall, a quince photo shoot in progress, at least 3 small picnics spread out, pristine, lolly the most secure park under the most gorgeous setting for a local police station ever. A very satisfying walk with my small dog.

Sunday, 22 March '26. SUNNY DAY. First-time here at the park with family of 6 and Granddaughter, 11 months old. She had a blast on swing set. Picnic table areas was nice with plenty of tree shade. Surrounding were safe and relaxing.
