I had 22 years clean and sober and relapsed three years ago and needed to get clean and sober again! My sponsor got me into Windward Way and it is an amazing place it did take me a few times leaving and coming back but it final took. The staff is amazing they all went the extra mile for me because I am a stubborn person. But I final got the help I needed therapy wise. My therapist Elyssa is AWESOME!!! she help me out so very much and got me the much needed help to get me back on the recovery horse. My case manager Tara who came out of "retirement" to take on my case is so freaking AWESOME these two women went beyond there duties to help me get clean and sober and again I was NO easy patient by any means. But they didnt give up on my they saw something in me that I had lost a long time ago way before my relapse. All the staff at Detox and residential are amazing they all truly care for your well being. All of the drivers especially this crazy loveable Hawaiian Andrew were so kind and would listen to you. And Gerald went way beyond his call of duties and help me out on his day off. I am truly blessed to be Windward Alumni I to have had my hopes restored by caring and thoughtful and especially helpful people. I asked GOD for help and he provided. I am truly greatful and lucky to have met such a wonderful group of people. If you need help please please give yourself a break and call Windward Way they are fist class recovery center. Oceans changed my life! I was able to go here through my Kaiser insurance. Danny was really helpful getting me in. The staff was supportive and you can tell they care about their patients. Surf therapy was my favorite. They offer spirituality and sound baths which are awesome. The process groups are led by experienced therapists who get to the root of your problems. I’ve been to countless treatment centers and this was definitely in my top 3. I also made great lifelong friends with other clients and I’m so grateful that I got a chance to come here. It’s right near the beach in stunning Newport Beach. The sober living is classy and has many great girls living there. The IOP is also good and they help you with your resume and trying to find employment. I really enjoyed my therapist and case manager meetings. Thank you ocean recovery for my sobriety!
