Best Hotels in KILLEEN

My family & I visited during Thanksgiving week 2025. Top notch customer service far exceeded the 'first-look' impression. We, along with other guests, were accommodated with early check-ins (for those of us that travel long distances by car, this in itself is great). We were greeted with excellent customer service - met with friendly smiles, professional service, knowledge about the hotel and amenities - check-in was a breeze. During our stay, Linda? (GM) and the entire staff went above and beyond in making our stay a very pleasant one - from initially helping with changing our room to a lower floor bec we brought our senior fur baby and lower floor = closer to "outside activities" to then patiently listening to me relaying my husband's annoyance about early morning guest noise (small kids in the room above us, also enjoying their vacation as they should). We even extended our stay one more day. Now, back to the 'first-look' impression - the hotel is dated, could really use updates. HOWEVER, if you can (I strongly encourage you to do so) look past the aesthetics, the hotel is a top choice stay - friendly/professional/very responsive & attentive staff, gym & pool on site, restaurant on site (very affordable, family-friendly pricing), lounge on site, meeting spaces on site, clean/very spacious rooms, pet-friendly hotel with no smell of pets and/or accidents anywhere, very close to major attractions/restaurants/shopping yet far enough away for a quiet, relaxing stay, and the property/grounds is large enough for a nice walk with a small memorial 'park' literally 2-5 steps from the parking lot. Last thing, regardless of the time we returned at night to the hotel, staff was always present/seen/attentive (so that was a level of safety/comfort for me). My husband & I do forsee a future stay. (For the owners, please invest in upgrades, I think your ROI will be greatly rewarded)

I work for K12 & we rent out the meeting rooms and ballroom each year for state testing. We spend a total of eight weeks testing throughout the year. The amenities are great and the staff take good care of us! We love Shayna & Chris as they work with us daily to ensure we have what we need to operate efficiently each day. They have done so much for us including providing a meal for our staff. We couldn’t be happier to be able to utilize their site and have the support of their staff! We love Killeen Courtyard Marriott!

The lobby, halls, and rooms were very clean. Front desk staff and breakfast staff were very friendly. Pool was a little cloudy and the breakfast lady was trying to keep up with cooking and stocking as she was the only breakfast staff. It would make sense during the week, but on the weekends they really need two people. She was so kind and pleasant even though guests were getting frustrated with food and drinks running out. She stayed calm and smiled the whole time. There is also no housekeeping on the weekends. We made a couple trips to the front desk for pool towels and linens. Front dest staff was pleasant and very accommodating.
