First time visit. Not first time eating Thai food. For a first visit I will say I was very happy with the experience. The location is a far drive for me since it's on the complete opposite side of town. But after eating here I can say it's definitely worth it. The dishes we got were all very tasty and piping hot. We had some fried Tofu as an appetizer which was definitely interesting. I had the curry and we ordered two different noodle dishes. I loved the different flavors. You had Thai basil and onions, cilantro, jalapeños. It was all very good and I felt well balanced. The jasmine rice paired with the curry was really simple but fragrant and delicious. There is more than enough seating in this place, so good for small and large groups. Parking is a little weird but it's not hard to find Parking. Prices are a little steep. But the portion sizes justify them. They're definitely comparable with other thai restaurants. You'll be paying between $10-20 per person. Our server, Josh, was incredibly attentive and polite. And the staff in general was all very welcoming. The atmosphere here was very interesting, with inside and outside seating with varied decor. It almost feels like you're in Thailand in a strange way. But I really enjoyed it. I would very much visit here again.

Customer Review
Visiting San Antonio and brother recommended this restaurant. If you’re looking for delicious crab Rangoon and pork dumplings, this is the place to go! Portions are huge. The Cold Thai coffee was superb! Service was great and super friendly! Pad Thai with egg rolls was awesome! Mother had chicken with rice soup and she ate it all! My only complaint is the restroom. If management could spend a few dollars to update, upgrade and replace old equipment, then the entire experience would have been better. Of course, it is just me, I want the dining experience to be great and if I happen to need to visit the restroom, then I expect it to be as well taken care of. But, my own personal preference. Others may not care, but I do. Finally, if you’re looking for great Thai cuisine, this place won’t disappoint!

Thai Hut Restaurant, The Pleansinchai family established the first Thai restaurant in San Antonio in 1982. Like many people, they had a dream to own a business that would represent who they are at home. Thai culture is known for hard work and service, so they've worked hard to combine who they are and what you love to deliver your favorite authentic Thai dishes with outstanding service. Their family has realized the dream they were originally chasing back in 1982 and they now own three Thai restaurants in the San Antonio area!
