Péché is downtown Austin’s premier French brasserie and the city’s very first dedicated absinthe lounge. Founded by owner Rob, the venue has spent nearly two decades pairing rich, New Orleans-style French comfort foods with an extensive pre-Prohibition craft cocktail program.
This place was such a treat. Patrick, our server, brought real warmth to the night. He walked us through everything, answered our basic questions without any attitude, and made us feel comfortable the whole time.
Hopfields is a beloved, family-owned French-inspired gastropub located on the northern edge of the University of Texas campus district in Austin, Texas.
I really enjoy hopfields! Neighborhood gastro pub with that funky Austin vibe. I always get the chicken liver mousse, and the steak frites. Both super tasty! Steak was cooked and seasoned well and a good portion considering how many farm to table restaurants skimp on sizes. The bartenders are engaging and I’ve had great wine there! 100% will be a regular!

Customer Review
One of the best dining experiences I've had. Our server was so genuinely kind and hospitable. The al pastor is a must, unlike any I've tried and definitely the most tender, flavorful, and falls apart because it's prepared exquisitely. My friend and I also had the smoked carrots, roasted chicken, halibut, chocolate tamal (dessert), and multiple drinks (alcohol, mocktails, tea). Our compliments to the Geraldine's chef and his team for such a special experience.
