About Washington Activity Center
The Washington Activity Center, built in 1969, is a multi-generational facility with a full size gymnasium, seven activity rooms and an auditorium. The center offers a wide variety of activities and services to the public at a minimal cost, including programs for toddlers, youth, teenagers, adults and seniors. The center sits adjacent to Washington Park, which boasts open green space and traditional park amenities (basketball and volleyball court, softball and soccer fields).

In phoenix we have many community activity centers. Many of them are for senior citizens only; however, the one in Washington park a jewel!! and open to the public. This center has a well equipped gym!! you join for $20.00 membership for a year! $30.00 for 6 month to use the gym...that is a SUPER BARGAIN (especially during the Summer months) BEAUTIFUL settings, super clean and beautiful neighborhood across the famous Phoenix Tennis center. It is worth it!!! you don't have to be a senior citizen! and you can use any other in Phoenix!! :) :)
