About Boysen Park
Boysen Park is 24.6-acre park is named in honor of Rudy Boysen, former Parks Superintendent and creator of the Boysenberry. Affectionately known as “Airplane Park,” a U.S. Navy Cougar jet airplane used in the Korean War has been a prominent playground fixture here since 1959.

I'm glad they maintained the character of the parks original design. I grew up in the area so Boysen Park was a place me & my friends spent a lot of our time. Its been 3 decades & although theres been changes to the park the heart remains. Now I bring my kids by so they can experience some of the fun I had growing up. The rocket doesn't have the death slide but it's still cool. The plane needs some restoration but please don't ever remove it.
