This was my favorite gym when I lived in California. It has all the amenities you need, a wide variety of group classes, plenty of modern equipment, and I loved that the locker room had its own hair dryers. I really enjoyed it and was very satisfied at first. Like any club-style gym, it takes some time before you start noticing the things you don’t like. During the few months I was a member, the massage chairs broke down multiple times. There are very few of them, so you always have to wait, and the staff consistently forgot to call you when a chair became available unless you reminded them. The infrared sauna was frequently under maintenance, and thanks to one of those maintenance sessions—when they replaced the colored bulbs—I realized the lights weren’t actually infrared at all. They were just colored bulbs for ambiance, so you shouldn’t expect any real light‑therapy benefits.
