Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve State Natural Reserve is a protected California state natural reserve located in the western Mojave Desert, about 15 miles west of Lancaster, California. The reserve is renowned for its spectacular seasonal displays of California poppies, the state flower, along with other native wildflowers such as lupine, owl's clover, goldfields, cream cups, and coreopsis.

Visited here in 1st week of April, 2026. Seems like I missed bloom by 2 weeks or so but glad I still came to this spacious, well maintained poppy reserve. I was able to see few poppy flowers here and there. Very easy trail for any age in my opinion. Weather was nice and I saw lots or butterflies throughout. I am hoping i can visit here again when there is full bloom!
