About Western Science Center

The Western Science Center opened in 2006 as the Western Center for Archaeology and Paleontology, as a repository and gallery to exhibit the expansive collection of fossils and artifacts uncovered by Metropolitan Water District during the decade-long construction of Diamond Valley Lake. In 2010, the center changed its name to the Western Science Center, reflecting an expanded mission to provide educational and informational opportunities about all scientific disciplines
