Detour Doughnuts was created by Jinny Cho after she decided to take a “detour” from her planned path in medicine and launched the shop in Frisco, Texas in 2018, inspired by her family’s background in donut shops and her goal to create more creative, culturally inspired flavors.

Another donut craving satisfied! We stepped into this donut shop and the friendly staff explained that they have special season-appropriate donuts as well as the tried and true faves. They have some normal size donuts and some smaller size, which is great if you want to try different things but don't want to eat heaps of sweets. We enjoyed the Dubai Chocolate, the mini apple fritters, the tiramisu donut and more. Not cheap, but these are more the artisan type of donuts with fun flavors. Very good!
