Taste of Texas, In 1977, their family opened the Taste of Texas Restaurant in Town and Country Village and welcomed their first customer in the door. In the years that followed, they survived oil booms, oil busts, moved to a new location, and have seen their Houston Astros win the World Series…twice! They believe the dinner table is the heart and soul of Texas, which is why they strive for excellence for each guest’s visit to the Restaurant.

This place is amazing. If you’re in town you have to go. Not only was the food great but the experience was incredible. It felt like a guided premium journey. They took us to the butcher shop to pick our steaks. They gave us a tour of the salad bar. They never rushed us. It was so good. I really enjoyed the salad bar and variety of breads. The New York strip steak was cooked just right and the sweet potato hit the spot. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals and had a great time.
