Oyler met an untimely death in 1973, Leon Crouch, would take over with his wife Katy and continue with Mesquite Barbecue. When Leon passed away in 1983, his son Kent Crouch took the reins along with his mother Katy. Kent moved the shop one street South to its current location.

Reviews

I’ve lived in Mesquite for several years and finally got a chance to stop by for BBQ today and I wasn’t disappointed. I had the baked potato with a mix of brisket and sausage, side of mac & cheese and banana pudding. Everything was excellent and I’ll definitely be back!
