Earth Altar has been rooted in Southern California since 2016, and started as The Tattoo Spa in 2014. It all began in 2007, when founder Justine graduated from art school with a specialization in fine art and painting. Alongside her fine art practice, she built a professional career in body painting, which naturally led her into the world of tattooing.

I cannot recommend Justine enough. She was by far the best tattoo artist I've ever worked with. she was patient, collaborative, and brought my idea to life - in ways better than I could imagine. She made the space so comfortable and safe, she is absolutely amazing! I cannot wait to go back to her! She freehand drew the design on my arm and made sure I was 100% in love with it before she started tattooing. There needs to be more tattoo artists like her in the world!
