Banbury Cross Donuts While the world has changed dramatically since they opened, they have deliberately remained the same. Their bakers still come in at early hours of the morning to hand make every donut. They've passed on all the "more efficient" technology and equipment to make more donuts! Frankly, they don't care about making more donuts, they can about making the best donuts. It all started in 1986 when Joan Morrow creates her original recipe for light, fluffy, melt in your mouth, perfectly balanced donuts -the type of donut that gets better with every bite.
