About Pollman's Bake Shop

Pollman’s Bake Shop all began 100+ years ago back in 1918 with Fred J. Pollman. He initially moved from New Orleans to Mobile to help at his brother-in-law’s bakery and later opened his own business, which continually ran until the Great Depression. In 1937, he and his wife, Corinne, started over small and by 1950, his children – Fred J. Pollman Jr., Charles Pollman and Mary Pollman Bender – had acquired the business.
