Joe’s Real BBQ, they obsess over BBQ, smoking their flavorful meats for hours using only Arizona pecan wood and no gas, electricity or shortcuts. There’s no other way to to get the depth of flavor and tenderness. To honor this roster of mouthwatering meats, they make 12 side dishes from scratch. Their building was a Safeway Pay n’ Takit grocery store built in 1929, when Gilbert was home to just 700 people. They’ve preserved and enhanced the building to honor the best of the past and the best of now.

We ordered Joe's Big BBQ feast for 4 of us and celebrating a birthday on the date which gave us $16 off of already reasonable price of $86 that can feed five comfortably. We took plenty of meat and jumbo bakers home. Service staff and manager were very friendly and went above & beyond for cafeteria style BBQ restaurant. Atmosphere was fun, condiment station had plenty of choices and people seems to be enjoying themselves. We sure did and definitely be back again.
