Nantzin provided midwifery care for the birth of my son in 2023. This was my first pregnancy and I was incredibly grateful to have her by my side throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Nantzin took ample time during each of my prenatal visits to share information, check in with me, and discuss any questions or concerns I had. None of my visits ever felt rushed. She invested so much time in getting to know both me and my partner. I deeply value her efforts to provide non-biased, evidence based information so we could make informed decisions regarding my care. Nantzin held space for me so beautifully throughout every step of this journey. We discussed my birth vision at length during my prenatal visits, so when it came time to give birth, she knew exactly how to hold space for me and followed my lead. My home video later revealed the detailed notes and medical observations/monitoring being made throughout my labor, but she was so calm and quiet, I didn’t even notice. I had a beautiful, undisturbed home water birth. Following the birth of my son, Nantzin had made some observations, which led her to recommend we transfer to the NICU. She transferred to the hospital with us and stayed until we were admitted, then promptly followed up with us the following day. Despite the unexpected change in plans, Nantzin ensured the transfer ran smoothly. She also supported me in processing my emotions following the transfer and the NICU stay. After returning from the hospital, she conducted several postpartum visits in our home. During our final few visits, Nantzin led us in a ceremony to express our gratitude and to honor the transition into parenthood. I am immensely grateful for Nantzin and her wisdom. Nantzin’s gentle, nurturing, and compassionate approach to care allowed me to feel safe, heard, and fully supported physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
