About Plaza de Cesar Chavez
Plaza de Cesar Chavez is a historic 2.3-acre public park in downtown San Jose and one of Northern California’s oldest public spaces. Established in 1797, it serves as a major civic gathering place surrounded by cultural attractions, museums, theaters, and restaurants. The plaza hosts concerts, festivals, holiday celebrations, and community events throughout the year.

We came with a group of Seniors to see Christmas in the Park. We visited in early January so the real Christmas rush had passed but the decorations were still nice, and we appreciated being able to move at a slower pace.
