GK Mongolian BBQ is a family-owned restaurant group with roots dating back to 1983. Ronnie and Shaoyeen Shih moved from Taiwan to Stockton, California, where they eventually purchased the restaurant where Shaoyeen had worked. Their dedication and hard work established the foundation for what would become GK Mongolian BBQ. The family continued operating the original restaurant while raising their children and building a strong family-oriented culture. In 2006, Ronnie, his sons, and business partners opened a second location in Tracy, California. The restaurant group has since expanded to additional locations throughout Central and Northern California.
