About Albany County Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail
Albany County Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail is a public, paved recreational trail spanning approximately 9–9.8 miles along the former Delaware & Hudson Railroad corridor from Albany through Delmar and Slingerlands to Voorheesville in Albany County, New York. It’s owned and maintained by Albany County and serves as a major community amenity for residents and visitors alike.

Very nice place for a bike ride. Trail goes from the southside of Albany to Voorheesville. Nine miles one way; 18 miles round trip. Trail is very smooth and mostly flat. There are some nice scenic views from the trail as well. Creek near Albany, is probably the best. Mileage is marked along the trail. I would say it is easier to park closer to Voorheesville as there were more parking lots for the trail at that end.
