Been a few years but glad to be back on this beautiful 3.5 mile in n out hike. Limited parking so start early in the summer months. It can get really hot going up that 1.7 mile incline. Once you get to the top the beautiful scenery and shade is well worth it..

The trail gets crowded but the parking lot is nicely controlled by the park rangers. I personally like to start the loop on the right as there is some shade going uphill. Other than that there isn't much shade but its a nice trail overall.

Beautiful but watch out for glass in the parking area. There are bear proof trash cans but always locked so take your dog poop with you and don't leave them on the trail!
