Lower Great Highway Trail is a scenic coastal trail along San Francisco’s western edge, offering beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and Ocean Beach. The mostly flat, paved route is ideal for walking, jogging, and cycling, with refreshing ocean breezes and a peaceful atmosphere.
Beautiful highway . It's along the west side of San Francisco and is on the pacific edge of the coast . Beautiful scenes many things to do around it . Has bathrooms along the edge. I hear now it's turning into an actual mini amusement park for the kids and the elders! It's connects with the golden gate park as well. And has great views to the golden gate bridge along the parks on that hughway.

Batteries to Bluffs Trail scenic coastal hiking trail in San Francisco’s Presidio, offering spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, Golden Gate Bridge, and Marin Headlands. The 0.7-mile pedestrian-only trail winds along rugged coastal bluffs, historic Battery Crosby, native wildflowers, and access to Marshall’s Beach. The trail has 470 stairs and a moderate activity level.
Great relatively short and easy trail with fantastic views of the bridge. Limited parking but way better than just parking at the Golden Gate visitor center. Parked at 2pm on a Sunday with no issues. About 1.2 miles to bridge.

Lovers Lane Trail is a historic pedestrian-only trail in San Francisco’s Presidio and the park’s oldest footpath. Established in the 19th century, it passes through eucalyptus, cypress, and pine forests, MacArthur Meadow, and the historic brick footbridge, with a connection to Andy Goldsworthy’s Wood Line art installation. The trail is 0.6 miles long, has a moderate activity level, and takes about 30 minutes to walk.
Hiking to this trail is not too strenuous, with relatively moderate elevation. The views are exceptional. Hiking to this trail is invigorating, and the vistas it offers are breathtaking. I highly recommend this location and intend to return in the future.
