It was about this time last year that I was searching for a midwife as I always knew I wanted to do a home birth. Once I came across Magnolia Midwifery on Instagram and then dove into the website, I already felt like I knew Maddison and was comfortable knowing she was our choice. Then we had the first interview with her and she is had the answer to all of our questions. Not only is Maddison super knowledgeable in what she does, but she brings a caring and calm presence to your visits and birth, which made me feel more confident that I could do this journey the way I wanted to, especially since this was my first baby. Knowing she had her own babies at home made me feel stronger in my choice for her as our midwife and completing the home birth. Now we’ve made a friend who will deliver our whole family when the time comes! Thank you for everything Maddison :)

I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am for Dr. A, my doula Brenlie and the entire staff, shout out Cathy too!. My experience has been nothing short of amazing. After I became high risk, Dr. A made a timely critical decision to bring my baby into the world a little earlier than what we thought to minimize risk associated with my birth. Dr A’s calmness and demeanor throughout the entire process brought me and my husband so much comfort. Our baby was perfectly healthy and my birth was amazing. If you are considering wombkeepers, I highly recommend and will be coming here for all of my babies!

Brealin is such a wonderful midwife! I had a C section with my first due to her being breech, but a natural delivery with my second was very important to me. We interviewed with Brealin and knew right away she would be a great fit for our family. She ended up living a few houses down from us which felt like fate! Our prenatal visits were very comfortable and in the comfort of our own home which was a huge plus. I struggled with low iron throughout my pregnancy, but Brealin was very on top of it and made sure we did everything we could to keep my levels high enough for a home birth. At 41 weeks my water broke before labor had started, and Brealin checked on me often even before it was go time. Once my contractions started picking up, she was prepared and came right over. She could tell that my son’s head was not engaged and helped us try *everything* to get it centered, and reached out to her mentors for any other insight they might have. After we decided to call it and knew a hospital transfer would be the next step, she immediately stepped in to help me pack a bag and called the hospital so they knew we were coming and could get straight to a room and assured us that she would be there for whatever we needed even though it was no longer a home birth. Even though I did not have the home birth I pictured, Brealin set me up for a successful VBAC, which I am so grateful for. The postnatal care was also so sincere, which was so comforting after going through an experience like birth. The 6 week appointment was bittersweet, and I cannot wait to have Brealin as my midwife again! She made me feel confident in my abilities as a woman and a mother and in my body. She is the best investment our family has made.
