Griffith Park is one of the largest urban wilderness parks in the United States, spanning more than 4,210 acres in Los Angeles. The park features extensive hiking trails, picnic areas, golf courses, horseback riding facilities, cultural attractions, and iconic landmarks such as the Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Sign.
Ain't no other Observatory in the world like it. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Make sure, if you want to see the sunset, GET HERE EARLY! MOST OTHER TOURISTS AND LOCALS WILL BE THERE TOO! Best way to get there, just use an Uber! ( easiest way ).
We loved it; wish that it wasnt a 12 hour flight away 🇳🇿.

Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area is one of the largest urban parks and open spaces in the Los Angeles area. Located in the Baldwin Hills, the park offers scenic hiking trails, picnic areas, fishing lakes, playgrounds, sports facilities, a Japanese garden, lotus pond, fitness stations, and panoramic views of Los Angeles.
Nice place! There's alot to do at this park and something for everyone. Some highlights include the Gwen Moore Lake, 2 small waterfalls, Hummingbird Garden, Japanese Garden (not really a garden just a pond with small bridges and 1 waterfall), and Autumn's Peak. There is a $10 fee.

Gloria Molina Grand Park is a vibrant 12-acre urban oasis in Downtown Los Angeles, stretching from The Music Center to City Hall. Known as "The Park for Everyone," it features lush green spaces, an iconic restored Arthur J. Will Memorial Fountain, intimate performance lawns, and free year-round community programming
Grand Park hosts many events. It's a great place to meet for marches, rallies, holiday venues,. I went to the "NO Kings" rally there there were thousands and thousands and thousands of very kind, polite people. A stage was set up (in most events there they have a stage area) where speakers can rally the people. Spread information. NAMI meets there for their annual Mental Health March for understanding. It has entrances on Grand across from city hall. Entrance on Hill street near the courts. Usually bus service is quite easy even with changes to schedules during events. Fourth of July is held there as well. Dia de Los Muertos just occurred at Grand Park. And you can just sit around and enjoy the day or lunch in the park.
